New HRT Sets

My hold sponsor HRT, which is one of the leading supplier of climbing handholds in the world has come out with a variety of different volume sets.

I was introduced to HRT holds back in 2003 at my third Junior World Championships. I was amazed at the fact that the holds feel new after a wash years down the road, unlike some other brands. I now have a good collection of my own holds in which I train for the bouldering and lead world cup seasons by setting problems and circuits.

Here are some of the newest sets, which can also be found HERE. Also worth noting is that all the volumes are now mountable with a single t-nut and not just screws as one of the stock photos show.

This first one is a big Circular set, pretty standard in competitions.

[singlepic id=646 w=400 h= float=right]

A bigger set with a sweet spot on each hold. [singlepic id=648 w=400 h= float=right]

Set that looks like Fontainebleau! [singlepic id=649 w=400 h= float=right]

A second Fontainebleau set, depending on where you are in the forest… [singlepic id=650 w=400 h= float=right]

These are the hardest to hold, and as the wall kicks back, oh my. [singlepic id=651 w=400 h= float=right]

The set with the holes in the middle, can even frame a small screw on. [singlepic id=652 w=400 h= float=right]

Layered features is what comes to mind when I see these. [singlepic id=653 w=400 h= float=right]

These remind me of outdoor stalactites on a face. [singlepic id=654 w=400 h= float=right]

Standard set, I’ve sure you’ve seen these are comps! [singlepic id=655 w=400 h= float=right]

I thought of the Red River Gorge, and sandstone! [singlepic id=656 w=400 h= float=right]

Nice set to dyno nto because they’re not sharp. [singlepic id=657 w=400 h= float=right]

For the kids, who doesn’t like a seahorse. [singlepic id=658 w=400 h= float=right]

Shell, Fish, Shell, for the kids. [singlepic id=659 w=400 h= float=right]

Fingerjams, hope you don’t have sausage fingers… [singlepic id=660 w=400 h= float=right]

These look like tumours, such a fascinating sphere.

Let me know if you need help ordering any of the sets, there’s nothing better than a wall fully decorated with all different size volumes!
