Training Video
I recently put together a training video which went LIVE on the Sportiva Live site a couple of weeks ago. I’ve pasted it in below. I do this routine when I’m trying to get stronger, and I do the circuits 3 times a week usually. Feel free to post below with questions! http://youtu.be/H0vOH_XGWFUTrackback from your site.

Hey Sean,
Just wondering a couple things. At about what angle are you doing those lock off drills? Is 45 too steep? Also, did you do any specific training to get your first front lever? Finally, I noticed there weren’t any finger strength drills in there (barring the crimp lock off). Did you ever do hang boarding/campus boarding for your fingers, or do you just boulder to get them stronger?
Thanks for this sick video,
Mark

45 degrees will work, but I wouldn’t go any steeper. It more depends on the size of the hold, you can then do it on any angle.
As for finger exercises, I only do that at the beginning of the year, when I’m getting physically stronger. Throughout the season, there’s never a time where I have more than 2 weeks, so I don’t do fingery stuff because it won’t make me any stronger.
Glad you enjoyed the video đŸ™‚

I know I’m a year and a half too late, but the exercise where you transition from a pull-up position to a front lever position is called “ice cream makers” and the ab drill you show at the end I usually hear called “bicycles”.
